To fund your investment account, you'll first need to link your bank account within the MoneySuperMarket app.
This is the bank account that you'll use to add money to your investments, and we'll also use the same details to send any withdrawals to.
To link your bank account, we'll need:
Account holder name
Address
Sort code
Account number
Once these details have been provided, we'll carry out a quick check to ensure the details match - this should only take a minute.
Currently, you can only fund your investments via one-off bank transfers, but we'll be adding support for recurring Direct Debits soon.
Making a bank transfer
Once you've opened either a stocks and shares ISA or general investment account and chosen what to invest in, tap Invest and follow the steps to complete a bank transfer through your online banking. You'll be provided a sort code and account number for Seccl (our 'custodian' who safeguard your cash and assets on our behalf) and a unique reference number for your investment account - please make sure you include this reference when making your bank transfer as it's how we match your payment.
Bank transfers should arrive within a few hours, and we'll send you a confirmation once your money has arrived.
Your money will then be invested into your chosen portfolio. This usually takes 3-5 business days, and you'll receive a notification from us once your investment is complete.
We won't ever include payment details in an email. You should always log into the app to see your payment details.
