How are my savings protected?
Your Holding account is provided by Bondsmith Savings Nominees Ltd. Money in this account is held with a UK bank – currently HSBC Bank plc.
Money in your Holding account and savings accounts are protected by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS). If a bank fails, the FSCS will return your money, up to £120,000 per banking group. This happens automatically, but it can take more than seven days.

How we keep your account safe
Your security matters to us. Here’s what we do to protect your account:
Two-factor authentication
When you log in to our app, we’ll ask for two checks – your password and a code sent to your phone. This makes it harder for anyone else to get in.
Biometrics or PIN
You’ll need to use your fingerprint, face ID or a PIN to open the app. It’s quick and secure.
Auto log-out
If you’re logged in on your app but you’ve been inactive for a while, we’ll log you out automatically. This helps keep your account safe if you forget to close the app.
We’ll never:
Ask you for your password or PIN
Ask you to share your login details by email, text or phone
Send your Holding account details by email, text or phone. Always log in to your account to see these
If you ever get a message that looks suspicious, don’t click any links. Contact us straight away.
How you can keep your account safe
Use a secure email address
Make sure your email account is protected with a strong password and two-factor authentication.
Choose a strong password
Pick a password for your MoneySuperMarket account that’s hard to guess. Use a mix of letters, numbers and symbols.
Switch on biometrics
You can opt to turn on fingerprint or face ID to open our app - so only you have access to your account. To do this:
first log out of our app by going to “Profile” and selecting “Log out”
You’ll be asked whether you want to turn on biometrics when you next log in to your account on our app
Keep your PIN and password private
Never share them with anyone – not even us.
Lock your phone
Set up a screen lock so no one can get into your apps if your phone is lost or stolen.
Update your app
Install updates regularly to get the latest security features.
